Strength

Physical Tools & Athleticism

  • Good length and long arms for his position, giving him strong positional versatility.

  • Good wingspan allows him to impact passing lanes, generate deflections, and provide a shot blocking presence.

  • Excellent vertical leaper with functional half court athleticism.

  • Good lateral mobility combined with long strides allows him to cover ground effectively.

  • Strong overall mobility gives him the ability to recover defensively even after being beaten off the dribble.

Scoring Ability

  • Aggressive downhill attacker who consistently puts pressure on the rim.

  • Good straight line driver who is difficult to stop when he has a clear path to the basket.

  • Attacks closeouts well and shows good burst when turning the corner.

  • Soft touch around the rim with creativity as a finisher.

  • Comfortable utilizing floaters and difficult layups to finish around the basket.

  • Aggressive driving style allows him to draw fouls and generate free throw opportunities.

  • Scoring increased by +10 points from his freshman (8.9 PTS) to sophomore (18.9) season, demonstrating his ability to thrive within a larger offensive role.

  • Shows flashes of shot creation ability and has room to continue developing this part of his game.

  • When shooting from 3 he looks most comfortable as a catch and shoot option.

  • Continued shooting development could significantly improve his overall offensive versatility.

  • High release point on his jumper.

Transition Offense

  • Quick in the open floor and highly effective as a transition scorer.

  • Long strides allow him to cover ground quickly once he gets downhill.

  • Athleticism and burst make him a constant threat to finish at the rim in transition.

  • Plays well off two feet and maintains good balance when finishing around the basket.

Defensive Impact

  • Good point of attack defender who can get into offensive players' space and tighten driving gaps.

  • Does a good job shooting the gap and recovering back to his assignment.

  • Length and wingspan allow him to disrupt passing lanes and create deflections.

  • Chase down block threat with the athleticism and mobility to recover after being beaten.

  • Has the tools to guard positions 1–3 and potentially some 4s depending on matchup.

  • Communicates well defensively.

  • Plays with a consistently good motor and brings energy on the defensive end.

Weakness

Strength & Physicality

  • Can be knocked off his spot when attacking the basket.

  • Needs to continue developing his upper body strength to better absorb contact and maintain his driving lines.

  • Added strength should help him finish through physical defenders and create more consistent advantages.

Shooting Consistency

  • Three point shot remains inconsistent despite showing improvement.

  • Needs to continue developing consistency from beyond the arc to become a more reliable floor spacer as well as secondary creator.

  • Continued improvement as a shooter will be important to maximizing his offensive role.

Playmaking & Decision Making

  • Playmaking feel remains a developmental area.

  • Can make simple reads but is not always consistent recognizing or executing them.

  • Can develop tunnel vision when attacking and occasionally drives into space that is not available.

  • Needs to improve his ability to recognize where the help defenders are and make reactive passing decisions.

  • Would benefit from becoming more comfortable creating opportunities for teammates when his own driving lane is taken away.

  • Was placed into a guard role to fill in the gaps due to injury and showed signs of playmaking upside but still needs significant improvement

Defensive Discipline

  • Active and aggressive defender but can occasionally become overaggressive pursuing blocks.

  • Will sometimes get caught in the air when attempting to make plays at the rim.

  • Can fall for pump fakes, leading to unnecessary fouls or defensive breakdowns.

  • Needs to balance his natural shot blocking instincts with greater discipline and positional awareness.

Rebounding

  • Could be more aggressive pursuing rebounds.

  • Has the length and athleticism to contribute more consistently on the glass.

  • Needs to show greater pursuit and physicality when competing for rebounds, particularly against bigger players.

Extra Notes

  • Projects primarily as a shooting guard but has the physical tools to see minutes at small forward.

  • Length, wingspan, lateral mobility, and athleticism give him the potential to defend multiple positions.

  • Could potentially handle some forward matchups depending on strength development and lineup context. It appeared that UNC Asheville were happy for Kameron to switch onto before forwards and guards

  • UNC Asheville occasionally run a 1-2-2 full court zone Defensive with Kameron apart of the middle 2

  • Works best when driving from the right

  • Shades of Shaedon Sharpe

  • Asheville like to have Kameron come of different curl route to get him speed to attack the rim

  • Two way potential

  • Occasionally UNC Asheville will run a 2-3 zone in which Kameron will be in the right of left of the 3 or 2 portions of the zone

  • Likes to crossover to his right side and then attack
